Tim Kaine to Tour Career Center, Host Student Town Hall on Jobs and Economic Opportunity in Arlington
On Monday, October 15, Senator Tim Kaine will share his core message of building a Virginia with good jobs and economic opportunity for all at the Arlington Career Center, which is a district-wide career and technical education and academic alternative program. He will tour the center, in addition to hosting a town hall where he will take questions on important issues from students including expanding access to education so that everyone is equipped with the skills needed for good jobs.
In the afternoon, Kaine will host a community conversation with seniors at the Ashby Ponds Retirement Community and will end the day rallying grassroots supporters and local volunteers at a phone bank in Dale City.
Kaine has long been an advocate for career and technical education. He co-founded the bipartisan Senate Career and Technical Education Caucus and has passed legislation to improve the quality of CTE programs, expand CTE education to middle schoolers, and strengthen vocational counseling for students through the Career Ready Act.
Media interested in covering or speaking with Senator Kaine at this event should RSVP to Brandon Gassaway at brandon@timkaine.com.
