Emphasizing the Importance of Keeping Virginians Safe, Tim Kaine to Lay Out Plans on Public Safety and Security at Northern Virginia Events

On Monday, September 10, Senator Tim Kaine will continue laying out his plans to keep all Virginians safe at two events in Northern Virginia. In the morning, Kaine will join public safety professionals in Fairfax for a roundtable discussion on public safety, before joining 10th District congressional candidate Jennifer Wexton in Loudoun County for a panel on public safety and security issues. At these events, Kaine will discuss the importance of keeping Virginians’ safe and secure — through supporting resources for law enforcement and first responders to keeping weapons of war off our streets and out of our schools, addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, promoting comprehensive immigration reform, and reducing crime and gang violence, among other proposals.

The events follow the release of the campaign’s most recent television ad, “Safe,” which focuses on Kaine’s bipartisan record of working to keep Americans safe and secure by supporting the military, expanding the Navy, and increasing troop pay, among other provisions.

Media interested in attending any of these events should contact Kaine campaign deputy press secretary Sharon Yang at [email protected].
