Ad Features Virginians Reacting To Cao’s Out Of Touch Comments, Saying, “Wow, Is That A Joke?” And “Unbelievable”
Richmond, VA – The Kaine for Virginia campaign launched a new TV ad, “Unbelievable,” highlighting Hung Cao’s unbelievable comments that “No one in the United States is like, ‘Oh my gosh, I will die if I don’t have health care.’”
The ad begins with Hung Cao’s out-of-touch comments that “No one in the United States is like, ‘Oh my gosh, I will die if I don’t have health care.’” Then, real Virginians react to his comments by asking, “Wow, is that a joke?” and discussing how they fare without health care.
Hung Cao has vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would strip protections for 1.3 million Virginians with pre-existing conditions, increase taxes on hardworking Virginia families, and jeopardize health insurance for nearly 700,000 Virginians. Cao also committed to repealing the Inflation Reduction Act, which would lead to higher prescription drug costs for Virginians.
“Hung Cao believes that no one in the United States would die if they don’t have health care, showing just how wrong and out-of-touch he is with Virginians,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for Kaine for Virginia. “This new ad will shine a spotlight on Hung Cao’s out-of-touch comments and show Virginians that Hung Cao cannot be trusted to protect their health care.”
