Margaret: “Senator Kaine is leading the charge to bring down the cost of prescription drugs.”
Richmond, VA – The Kaine for Virginia campaign launched its next TV ad, “Affordable,” highlighting Senator Kaine’s work to bring down the cost of insulin to $35 and the cost of prescription drugs for all Virginians.
The ad begins with Margaret, a Springfield resident and type 1 diabetic, telling her story of wanting to retire but the cost of insulin being a concern. The ad spotlights Senator Kaine’s work to bring down the cost of insulin to $35 and to bring down the costs of all prescription drugs.
“Senator Kaine knows that no Virginian should have to choose between lifesaving medication and paying for groceries or rent. That’s why he fought to cap the cost of insulin to $35 for seniors and is working so every person in the Commonwealth can afford insulin,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for Kaine for Virginia. “Senator Kaine is laser-focused on lowering the cost of prescription drugs for all Virginians so they can have more room in their family budget.”
