Richmond, VA – Kaine for Virginia has raised over $3.7 million in the third quarter of 2024, a record-breaking amount, and has $7 million cash-on-hand.
This is the largest fundraising quarter for Tim Kaine’s campaign this year, and the hefty haul was fueled by his highest number of online donations in a quarter, with 43,401 individual donors. These numbers represent Kaine’s best grassroots fundraising quarter ever, exceeding a record-breaking Q2. Additionally, 66 percent of donors were first-time donors, showing how grassroots donors want to send Tim Kaine back to the Senate and the movement is growing.
“As we head into the homestretch with another record-breaking quarter, it’s more proof that Virginians know Tim is standing up for them in the U.S. Senate and fighting for reproductive freedom, reducing costs, and bringing good paying, high-quality jobs to the Commonwealth,” said Keren Charles Dongo, Campaign Manager for Tim Kaine. “From the enthusiasm we see on the ground at our events to this record amount of grassroots support, it’s clear Virginians are fired up to re-elect Tim Kaine.”
In this record-breaking quarter, the average online donation was $30. Of the 74,810 online contributions, 98 percent were for $100 or less.
