Because of Tim’s work to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Virginia is seeing long overdue infrastructure projects in every corner of our Commonwealth. This means rebuilding our roads and bridges, providing clean water to our communities, expanding high-speed internet, and more. Furthermore, the Inflation Reduction Act marked the largest initiative to reduce carbon pollution in U.S. history. This landmark legislation is lowering utility costs for Virginians, supercharging the Commonwealth’s clean energy sector, capping prescription drug costs, reducing health care premiums, and creating good-paying jobs.
As Governor, Tim made sure the Silver Line was planned, financed, under contract, and under construction. Thanks to his tireless efforts, the Silver Line extension to Dulles is now complete – providing rail service to our international gateway, access to more jobs and economic opportunities, and easing traffic congestion. Tim also helped pass the CHIPS and Science Act, a historic law to boost domestic semiconductor manufacturing, strengthen supply chains, lower costs, create good-paying jobs, and ensure that we outcompete China.
